19th May 2009 - Fancy Dress - Cultural Cooking

Explorers split into teams and then choose a country. They would then have to dress in national dress and cook a dish from that country. We had a good turn out and everyone put in the effort to make it a good night. One new member turned up for this event and it seemed like she had a good time and will be interested in staying on.

12th May 2009 - Boating

This was the explorers first trip out on the lake this year and it was a success. We had groups out rowing, canoeing and sailing. A good time was had by all and the weather favored the sailors.

8th - 10th May 2009 - County Explorer Camp

A good turn out with 6 going. Highlight was coming 1st and 2nd in the fancy dress competition. Well done to all the guys that went. Hopefully more will go on the next one.

5th May 2009 - Backwards Cooking

High numbers for this event but another success with lots of food being cooked on the open camp fire up at Ferny Crofts. A lot of fun and some new members coming up for the first time.

26th April 2009 - St Georges Day

We had a good turn out and everyone looked great in the uniform. Everyone made an effort and it paid off. We out numbered the other 3 groups in the district just on our own. Well done to everyone for this effort.

13th March 2009 - Climbing

Numbers a bit low for this but those that went had a good time. This was held down at Calshot on their climbing walls.Everyone that went had a good time. Hopefully there will soon be some pictures posted for those that did go.

7th -8th Nov 2008 - Night Hike and Camp

The explorers went on a hike to Wilverley Cottage in the New Forest. They stayed over on the Friday night. The weather was interesting to say the least. Rain with some very strong winds. The tents all stayed up which was a good thing.

9th Nov - Rememberance Day Parade

We had a good turn out with 9 explorers. They all looked very smart in full uniform. They didn't complain too much when there was a heavy rain shower at the start, but that soon passed by. They were well behavied. Thanks to all that turned up and put in the effort.

11th Nov - Shooting

We had a night shooting at Crosshouse in Southampton. Gave us the chance to see the fireworks and the QE2 leaving for the last ever time. Good night was had by all.

18th Nov - Bowling

Another great night Bowling in Southampton. Great turn out and good fun.

25th Nov - Pudding Night

Everyone that came should bring a pudding with them to share round. Can't eat another thing after coming to this night. Lots of very bad things that taste oh so good.

2nd Dec - Ice Skating

Tonight we popped up to Basingstoke to do some Ice Skating. Again a good turn out with 24 people going in total. Lots of fun and everyone seems to be getting better at it.

9th Dec - Games Night

Games night as we couldn't book the Rock Climbing in time. Quite a good night arrange at such short notice. Thanks to john for the quiz.
